Description

We are preparing to launch our first ever major fundraising and volunteering campaign while also preparing to mark our bicentenary in 2024.

To make that happen, we are building an exceptional team of people to champion bold thinking that is rooted in impact.

We are filling
two vacancies for Global Volunteer and Networks Officer.

You will be joining our alumni engagement function and we would like to hear from you if you are:

  • enthusiastic about working in a global context,
- able to build meaningful volunteer relationships,
- have the resilience to work in a fast-paced environment.

You will work with a Senior Alumni Officer to deliver programmes which engage the largest graduate community of any UK university; over 550,000 alumni worldwide.

Specifically, you will be focussed on international alumni, based outside of the UK, around 27% our alumni.

By mobilising our international alumni community, you will contribute directly to the University's strategic goals.

These programmes will attract volunteer support for University priorities which include:
philanthropy, social responsibility, student recruitment and employability.

You will design and deliver effective alumni engagement through events and communications.

This will build on the warmth and loyalty of alumni to their University, helping to create connected, enthused communities of graduates in international locations.

You will join a friendly, high-performing Division. It's full of people who care about what we do. We are values driven and we prioritise staff wellbeing.

We celebrate diversity and treat people fairly. We have a commitment to equality of opportunity for staff and students. We are proud to have a workforce that reflects the diverse community it serves.

Of our staff, 17% are from a black and minority ethnic background*, women make up 51% of the workforce, and international staff members make up 21%.

We have more than 40,000 students and of those, 14,800 are international students from more than 170 countries.

We make our appointments on merit.

Our University is positive about flexible working - you can find out more here.

Blended working arrangements may be considered.
-
_We recognise that Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic applicants are not homogenous groups. People from different ethnic backgrounds have different experiences of and outcomes in higher education and the workplace. We also respect that all individuals may have intersections of identities and experiences._
