Main Purpose of The Position:

Under the direction and guidance of the Logistics Coordinator, produce a well
- balanced production plan based upon customer requirements. Identify potential capacity and process problems, and meet the requirements of the customer for quality, quantity, cost, and delivery.


Core Duties:


  • To help produce production plans based upon customer requirements using the Sertec planning system / MAPS.
  • Through close liaison with manufacturing areas, identify production problems including breakdowns and replan accordingly to ensure zero downtime.
  • Manage supply chain shortages for internal sub processes / BOPs, seeking resolution where possible and escalating shortages through the required lines of communication when necessary.
  • Support improvement activities by identifying opportunities to current processes with a LEAN approach.
  • Review and manage production lineups in order to ensure correct lead times are maintained in MAPS.
  • Identify aftermarket build opportunities within core capacity planning in order to reduce overtime requirements relating to aftermarket production requirements.
  • Ensure Quality functions are accounted for within the production plan. i.e.
Macro planning.

  • To ensure that a close liaison is maintained with other departments whilst ensuring that information/communication flow is maintained in the manufacturing department.
  • Attend daily production meetings generating supporting reports.
  • Liaise with project team & engineering teams regarding HLR requirements and stock builds.
  • Liaise with operations team on key supply chain issues.
  • To update and maintain resource & capacity information presenting data weekly to the general manager/senior manufacturing coordinator.
  • To update and maintain daily site statistics & KPIs 2 day stock/OEE/OTIF/Delivery performance.
  • Log adherence and performance to plan to ensure accountability from production areas.
  • To review and monitor key daily stats on sub part suppliers generating daily reports on sub supplier delivery performance & arrears identifying any possible bottlenecks within Wincaster House manufacturing areas.
  • These duties are not 'limited' or 'fixed' and you may be required to take on additional reasonable responsibilities, as our business needs change.

Min Requirement for Role Attainment:

(Microsoft Office is a must with a focus on Excel).

You will need a strong desire to learn with a can-do attitude.

You will also need to have good communication in both verbal and written and be able to quickly pick up new working practices.

Furthermore, you will have prior experience in problem identification and management as well preferably prior experience with MAPS.


This role may require travel on occasion to other Sertec sites, therefore to be successful in this role you need to be a car owner with a full UK driving license.
