Description
Our client is an established and expanding engineering organisation and a market-leader in their field. They are looking for an experienced Key Account Manager to join their team based in Halifax.


As a Key Account Manager your role will primarily focus on building relationships with existing customers, ensuring you provide them with continued support and offer them a high quality, personalised service.


This role will focus on the customer experience, ensuring you get to know customers, servicing their business needs with regular contact and communication.

The role will be varied but duties will include:

  • Understanding the needs of the customer, ensuring they are happy with the service provided and dealing with any queries.
  • Problem solving; liaising with internal departments regarding customer queries and challenges to give a satisfactory solution.
  • Analysing data and using this data to highlight trends or opportunities.
  • Collating data to provide a monthly report to the senior management team, detailing opportunities and risks you have identified.
  • Following company processes to ensure an efficient, streamlined service is given to customers.
  • To investigate and manage customer complaints relating to service support functions and ensuring these are resolved in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Supporting new equipment sales propositions to existing customers.
  • Maximising sales opportunities for current customers.
  • Managing new client enquiries (warm leads) and giving presentations to customers about what the business can offer.
  • Arranging and attending customer account review meetings. Usually digitally, but you may also be required to travel to visit customers.
  • Writing bids and tenders.


As a Key Account Manager, you must have excellent communication skills and be able to work autonomously but also as part of the team.

The role offers hybrid working, with the need to be in the office around 2-3 days a week to really get to know the team.
