This is a unique and exciting opportunity for an ambitious Head of Investments who wants to pivot from traditional finance to an impactful and exciting investment career mitigating climate change, whilst receiving a competitive private equity remuneration package.


You will work alongside the CEO to develop, lead, and execute our investment strategies and will join our team drawn from world-class institutions with extensive experience and networks in carbon markets, agriculture private equity, remote sensing, policy and regulation.

Additionally, we have a high-quality non-executive board and investment committee bringing significant experience and a broad network of investor and corporate relationships.

We will be working with developers to source, fund and manage nature-based carbon sequestration assets around the world.

With a focus on the voluntary carbon market, as part of the due diligence process you will be expected to partake in occasional travel to project sites, primarily located in Latin America, Africa and Southeast Asia.

You will also have the opportunity to travel to global events to grow your network, raise Arcmor Capital's profile and keep on top of industry developments.


Responsibilities

  • Establish effective and wellorganised investment processes.
  • Write clear and wellinformed investment recommendations based on thorough research and analysis, working closely with the investment team.
  • Bring interesting ideas to the table.
  • Partake in global travel to visit projects, attend conferences and fundraising.
  • Organise regular investment reports and reviews, including quantitative and qualitative portfolio studies.

Skills & Qualifications
Specific experience in carbon markets would be ideal but is not essential


The role will require:

  • 12+ years of experience in private equity, M&A and/or investment banking. Experience in agriculture investing is ideal.
  • Demonstrated deal execution track record.
  • Exposure to investing in emerging economies.
  • Ability to manage and guide staff.
  • Excellent analytical, numerical and financial modelling skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • The confidence to rely on judgment when spreadsheets fall short
  • High regard for a strong collaborative team culture.
  • Experience in fundraising and ideally an established investor network.
  • Strong academic background in business, finance, economics or related field.

  • An entrepreneurial mindset, who's excited by the idea of building something great.
  • Knowledge of Agriculture, renewable energy, mining and forestry would be advantageous.

Salary & Benefits
