Description

An international transport organisation based in West London require a Data Protection Assistant to join them on an interim basis.

Initial duration would be 6 months with possibility of extension. This role would require 2 days based in the office and remainder working from home.


The Data Protection Assistant will sit within the Commercial Marketing & Digital function and work with the Data Protection Officer and broader legal, compliance and DPO team to ensure appropriate processes, systems and structures are in place to comply with GDPR and Privacy obligations.


The role holder will support the delivery of end-to-end processes, monitoring compliance, reporting key controls and instilling a strong data protection culture amongst colleagues and related partners and suppliers.


Responsibilities:


  • Work within the CRM & Customer Engagement team to support projects involving customer data collection and advise on data protection compliance
  • Proactively identify, record and escalate privacy risks and assist in the management of the DPIA process across the commercial department.
  • Support the DPO in the deployment of compliance monitoring of processes including reviews and audits
  • Support the DPO in planning and implementing communications to commercial teams and contact centre agents to ensure all staff are aware of their obligations in relation to data protection and information security and of changes to legislation.
  • Act as the first point of contact for customer data protection queries from the customer contact centre and commercial colleagues and partner with internal data champions to ensure compliance in all new projects.

Skills and Experience required:


  • Excellent verbal, written, spoken language proficiency (with qualification) Degree or data and legal qualifications.
  • A good knowledge of GDPR legislation, and other data collection, privacy and processing legislation standards and frameworks
  • First class interpersonal skills; able to form positive relationships with a wide range of internal colleagues and external partners.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and high levels of accuracy, naturally organised and efficient in nature
