Overall Purpose of Role:
As Nissan enters a sustained period of new product launches and corporate investments in Europe as it works towards Ambition 2030, this person will play a critical role in positioning Nissan as a leading technology company to internal and external audiences through innovative and disruptive communications, content and campaigns.
With the continued evolution of the UK media landscape non-traditional communications are becoming increasingly critical, and this role is at the forefront of this trend.
In order to shift brand opinion, and build technology credentials to support our business direction, greater focus and resource will be needed in this area.
Primary focus is in the UK although, with a greater integration across regional RBUs, all opportunities to broaden campaigns across the region should be explored with the central communications team.
This role is also responsible for key strategic and corporate responsibilities including budget planning and compliance.Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
- NMGB communications content hub and future planning
Working with the Communications Director identify the key disruptors and future trends in the industry to evolve our future approach, and develop strategy, plans and tactics, to maximise PR impact on our key target customer groups.
b. Aligned to AMIEO guidelines establish NMGB communications strategy to drive model and brand opinion and support business prioritiesc. Responsible for overseeing the origination and deployment of local model launches, test drive events, innovative and engaging campaigns and content for external and internal audiences

b. Overall responsibility for all internal communications channels of Comms-led internal channels (N-COM, Insider, internal comms event, AEMs)
- Press office management
b. Deputise for communications director in key meetings (ManCom, budget meetings)
- Compliance
Ensure that NMGB press activity is fully compliant with relevant guidelines, laws and internal mandates including GDPR, vehicle insurance, public liability, health and safety, and finance and PO process.
