Role Definition
Strong underwriting performance is critical to any Insurance business.

As the Underwriting Performance Assistant you will have an important role supporting the Performance Manager in their responsibilities to ensure effective oversight and management ofunderwriting performance.


You will work closely with the Senior Performance Analyst on processes, projects, analysis and reporting regarding the improvement or maintenance of underwriting performance at CFC, including processes and projects that communicate our underwriting performanceand related strategy.

In particular you will be focused on building, maintaining and enhancing pricing tools for CFC's range of products, which impact every part of our business.


We work collaboratively at CFC and this role is no different You won't only work with your immediate team, but actively engage with underwriting and software development teams as well as the Products department and other support functions at CFC.


Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Investigating, diagnosing and addressing bug reports regarding pricing tools
  • Maintaining and building pricing tools
  • Undertaking analysis and proposing solutions to complex pricing problems
  • Assisting other members of the Performance management team with ad hoc tasks and analysis
  • Assisting the Senior Performance Analyst with processes and projects

  • A creative problem solver
  • Diligence and confidence with numbers
  • Strong excel skills
  • A keen eye for detail
  • Calm under pressure and confident working to a deadline

Knowledge & Experience

  • This is an entry level role

Education & Qualifications

  • A numerical degree is preferred, such as Maths, Science or Economics
  • Strong A levels or equivalent including maths
  • Outstanding performance in Maths at any other level (from GCSE equivalent and above)
