To complete our dedicated care team in our Parklands Care Home in Wakefield House, Cullen, we are recruiting for a relief Night Care Assistant, working on an 'as and when' basis to cover for sickness and holidays.

You will work closely with our residents so it's essential that you have a warm, caring and, above all, patient personality.

These post will involve evening and weekend work, based on shifts worked on a rota basis.


Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Providing the highest level of person centred care and support to our residents
  • Assisting with meals
  • Engaging in day to day activities and providing companionship
  • Providing support to family members
  • Working closely with other team members and the management team
About you

  • You must have the right to live and work in the UK
  • You will have sound knowledge of English and be computer literature
  • You will be expected to provide referee contact details for your current place of work and your previous place of work
  • You will be expected to have a full PVG upon acceptance of post and to register with the SSSC within 6 months of starting the post.
Desired experience and qualifications

  • It would be beneficial to have previous care experience although we believe your attitude to high quality care is more important
  • SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or working towards SVQ level
  • Knowledge of Health & Social Care standards
