We are seeking a meticulous and organised Property Inventory Clerk to join our dynamic team.

As a Property Inventory Clerk, you will be responsible for conducting thorough and accurate property inspections, documenting the condition of properties, and creating detailed inventories.

This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth management of properties, minimising disputes, and maintaining a high standard of service for both landlords and tenants.


Key Responsibilities -

Property Inspections:


  • Conduct comprehensive property inspections, covering all aspects of the interior and exterior.
  • Document the condition of fixtures, fittings, and furnishings, including any damages or wear and tear.
  • Capture detailed notes and photographs to support the inventory report.

Inventory Creation:


  • Compile detailed and accurate property inventories, listing all items and their condition.
  • Create a comprehensive record of utility meters, keys, and other relevant property information.
  • Utilise property management software and tools to generate professional and organised inventory reports.

Tenant Communication:


  • Communicate effectively with tenants to schedule property inspections and ensure cooperation during the process.
  • Address tenant queries regarding the inventory and provide clarification on any discrepancies.

Dispute Resolution:


  • Assist in the resolution of disputes related to property condition by providing welldocumented inventory reports.
  • Work closely with property managers and landlords to address and resolve any issues raised by tenants.

Regulatory Compliance:


  • Stay informed about relevant regulations and compliance standards related to property inventory processes.
  • Ensure that all inventory procedures align with industry best practices and legal requirements.

Qualifications:


  • Previous experience in a similar role within the estate agency or property management industry is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Computer and literacy skills.
  • Proactive, selfmotivated, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Education:


  • An A Level qualification or equivalent.

Working Conditions:


  • This role will involve regular travel to various properties within Essex and Suffolk.
  • Flexibility with working hours to accommodate property inspections, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Must have Full UK driving licence and own reliable car
  • Must have own reliable smartphone
