Description
We are looking for a Lead Buyer to join our purchasing team.

The Lead Buyer will be responsible for managing the procurement of all materials, services and products for the company.


Responsibilities:


  • Research and evaluate suppliers, negotiate prices and maintain a strong relationship with existing suppliers and develop new relationships.
  • Work closely with the QC Manager, monitoring and improving supplier quality and supplier performance.
  • Manage and report on monthly targets and KPI's specifically OTIF, PO, INV Accuracy and Supplier defects.

Job Requirements:


  • Knowledge of standard procurement and Stock control processes.
  • Experience of Supplier/Contract negotiation
  • Excellent communication skills
  • ICT skills
  • Excel, MRP and ERP
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to research and evaluate new suppliers.
  • At least 3 years experience as a Buyer.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
Up to £30,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • OLNEY: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:


  • Buyer: 3 years (required)
