Gis Data Coordinator - Birmingham, United Kingdom - Critical Project Resourcing
Description
A large rail organisation is seeking a GIS Data Coordinator to join them on a permanent basis, either in Birmingham or London.
London salary is £38,927 - £48,702The role will require at least 5 years' experience in GIS across a number of disciplines.
You will be working with the Digital Engineering team and will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on GIS data management including data production, content publishing and compliance of data quality and assurance.
Main duties will include:
- Responsibility for management of data exchanges of suppliers
- Reporting data quality issues and analysis of root causes to the team
- Compliance and quality assurance checks of data created.
- Developing and delivering training and support to relevant business functions
- Identifying areas for improvement and feedback
Skills and experience required:
- Data specialism in GIS data and modelling
- Data content and production management
- Data quality techniques, processes and analysis
- Data assurance techniques and processes
- Communication skills to support training.
- Stakeholder engagement
- Strong GIS knowledge
- Esri knowledge and experience
Types of experience:
- Experience of working with open formats to enable data interoperability
- Experience of raising awareness of digital engineering, delivering briefing sessions and providing support
