A large rail organisation is seeking a GIS Data Coordinator to join them on a permanent basis, either in Birmingham or London.

London salary is £38,927 - £48,702

The role will require at least 5 years' experience in GIS across a number of disciplines.

You will be working with the Digital Engineering team and will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on GIS data management including data production, content publishing and compliance of data quality and assurance.


Main duties will include:

  • Responsibility for management of data exchanges of suppliers
  • Reporting data quality issues and analysis of root causes to the team
  • Compliance and quality assurance checks of data created.
  • Developing and delivering training and support to relevant business functions
  • Identifying areas for improvement and feedback

Skills and experience required:

  • Data specialism in GIS data and modelling
  • Data content and production management
  • Data quality techniques, processes and analysis
  • Data assurance techniques and processes
  • Communication skills to support training.
  • Stakeholder engagement
  • Strong GIS knowledge
  • Esri knowledge and experience

Types of experience:

  • Experience of working with open formats to enable data interoperability
  • Experience of raising awareness of digital engineering, delivering briefing sessions and providing support

£34,672.00-£43,355.00 per year
