Description

A large rail organisation is seeking a GIS Data Coordinator to join them on a permanent basis, either in Birmingham or London.

London salary is £38,927 - £48,702

The role will require at least 5 years' experience in GIS across a number of disciplines.

You will be working with the Digital Engineering team and will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on GIS data management including data production, content publishing and compliance of data quality and assurance.

Main duties will include:

Responsibility for management of data exchanges of suppliers
Reporting data quality issues and analysis of root causes to the team
Compliance and quality assurance checks of data created.
Developing and delivering training and support to relevant business functions
Identifying areas for improvement and feedback

Skills and experience required:

Data specialism in GIS data and modelling
Data content and production management
Data quality techniques, processes and analysis
Data assurance techniques and processes
Communication skills to support training.
Stakeholder engagement
Strong GIS knowledge
Esri knowledge and experience

Types of experience:

Experience of working with open formats to enable data interoperability
Experience of raising awareness of digital engineering, delivering briefing sessions and providing support
