EDI Support Officer - (Inside IR35)**
Contract Term: 3 Months possible extension

To support the development, co-ordination and administration of the Workforce Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Plan, related governance and management, and related EDI change projects. This work is essential to the implementation of the Workforce EDI Plan due to be published in January. The role is based in the HR team and covers a range of organisational change initiatives such as gender equality, anti-bullying and harassment, equality impact assessments and support for parents and carers in the workplace

As an EDI Support Officeryour main responsibilities will be**- Project management of EDI Plan deliverables, working closely with team members

  • Establishing and organising working and project groups as part of a new EDI governance and management structure including diary and meeting management and a highquality endtoend secretariat service to the satisfaction of the chair and members
  • Takes notes at meetings, drafts resulting meeting minutes and follows up on actions
  • Responsible for setting up a range of focus groups and surveys relating to EDI projects, involving communications, liaison with contractors, arranging sessions (hybrid and in person)
  • Facilitate planning discussions and manage information flow to, from and between team members and colleagues and teams across UKRI using knowledge and judgement to brief relevant stakeholders on key issues
  • Undertakes timely, focused and incisive background research, analysis and briefings using personal/professional knowledge and expertise to support projects and project groups where required
  • Oversees diary and travel management, using business knowledge to make considered decisions when juggling demands on the schedule
  • Ensures the smooth running of all relevant meetings including meeting arrangements
  • Manages procurement requirements, preparing relevant documentation for and undertaking stakeholder management with contractors and the procurement team
  • Managing shared mailbox, triaging and assigning tasks to relevant team members; acting as point of contact and responding to queries
  • Organise project events, awareness sessions and contribute to communications
  • Committed to and acts as an ambassador for EDI within UKRI.
