Description

Full Time, Fixed Term for 12 months.
This is an exciting position helping to improve outcomes for children and families in Bristol.

Working at the heart of the Council's 'Our Families Programme' within our Children & Education Directorate, you will help drive and assure delivery of whole system change by focussing on designing effective services with, and for, children and families.

As the Strategic Performance Business Partner, you will be working to the Executive Director for Children & Education and their senior team to deliver a far-reaching transformation programme, of which performance management and monitoring are key components.

The provision of strategic and operational level performance advice is crucial across social care, early help and education, in order to provide high quality information, challenge, analysis and policy direction that results in consistently good services and outcomes for our children and families whilst also addressing challenging financial pressures.

The role will bring to life the range of data and insight available across the Directorate and beyond, working alongside senior leaders as a critical friend and expert consultant to ensure this is turned in to actionable, sustainable improvements in strategy, service delivery and efficiency.

As part of this you will lead the performance related work of the Our Families Programme and Board.

You will need to demonstrate a strong track record of evidenced service improvement, outcome-focused delivery and strategic planning, with a deep understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion, knowing how to improve equity and tackle structural inequality in all its forms.

Alongside this you will need excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
