Croydon University Hospital contract is primarily based in Croydon, with the main site being Croydon University Hospital but also covers a number of satellite sites in the local area.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Scheduler to join our team. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday.

As a Scheduler you will support the drive to improve and deliver the quality standards for the soft services on the Croydon University Hospital account.

This role ensures that the service delivery throughout the 24/7 operations, achieves the required standards on a consistent basis.


Key Responsibilities will include:


  • Deliver and drive the performance of the G4S cleaning and portering staff working schedules.
  • Manage and drive the performance of the cleaning and porting standards via the supervisors across the entire 24/7 operations.
  • Support the engagement with Trust Management and Clinical teams to build effective day to day operational relationships.
  • Plan, anticipate and address planned or unplanned absence issues that may arise with the supervisors, domestic and portering service delivery teams.
  • Support the supervisors with any people performance related issues.
  • Drive innovation and quality improvement across the soft services delivery.
  • Work with managers and supervisors to ensure consistent messaging, approach and objectives across all shifts.

Essential Criteria:


  • BICS Accreditation to appropriate level.
  • Knowledge of 2007 and 2021 NHS National Cleaning standards.
  • Thorough understanding of soft services delivery in an NHS environment.
  • Administrative processes.
  • People management.
  • Communication skills.
