- To set up and run routine sensory and consumer tests ensuring that all documented procedures relevant to Project Management are adhered to, working with colleagues if required.
- Set up kitchen, booths, and associated areas for sensory and consumer tests, brief consumers as to the requirements of the study (verbatim) and ensure that all study related paperwork is returned to the project file or appropriate place/person.
- Supervise casual staff during testing and to assist with their induction and training programme.
- Take receipt of samples and complete sample receipt paperwork.
- Validate sample preparation and serving instructions and where required, prepare, and validate a cook plan.
- Prepare and serve samples for testing according to validated cook plans, sample preparation plans and/or sample serving guidelines and study protocol.
- Take the lead for the cleanliness of the facility; ensuring that all cleaning is carried out in accordance with Company procedures.
- Hold accountability for sample handling and storage; ensuring that this is carried out in accordance with Company procedures.
- Support colleagues with all aspects of complex or multi projects, ensuring that all documented procedures relevant to project t management are adhered to.
About You
- Sensory Science background (degree in Food Science or equivalent)
- Experience of running field work
- Experience of panel leading preferably Spectrum
- General panel management for both descriptive and discrimination panels
- Broad knowledge of test methodologies in order to recommend the correct test and run appropriate sensory analysis
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to communicate and negotiate effectively
- Flexibility in hours required, up to two days a week will be approximately an 8pm finish
Salary:
£20,759.00-£30,969.00 per year
