Description

As part of the Pre-Construction team, the Electrical HV Designer will play a key role in the life-cycle from the initial tender of a scheme through to delivery and project completion.

The Electrical HV Designer will be responsible for managing the design process within the business, ensuring that designs are undertaken accurately, within the agreed timescales and reported back to the Pre-Construction Manager.

The Electrical HV Designer will work on multiple projects simultaneously within Industrial & Commercial (I&C) and retail sectors.

Responsibilities include:

Completing utility tender drawings for new schemes.
Undertaking electrical designs and manage the design process for gas & water with external design houses.
Assisting with estimating of new tenders.
Offering design guidance and value engineering solutions where applicable on new teams as part of the project delivery team.
Completion of bill of quantities, design variations and costing in accordance with commercial and financial procedure.

Furthermore, we are looking for:

Experience of undertaking HV designs for adoption by DNO/IDNO's on commercial and industrial schemes.
Ability to effectively understand and interpret complex engineering drawings.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with design team to ensure quotes are issued to a high standard.
Minimum 2 years experience.
