The Role


The post holder will be responsible for undertaking a range of housing, and estate management functions including dealing with anti-social behaviour cases, neighbourhood management and fostering good landlord/tenant relationships for a 'patch' of properties.

In undertaking these duties, you will be expected to oversee and progress community led projects that make a difference to residents.

Previous experience of working with the public in a similar capacity is essential.


Applicants must be able to drive as the postholder needs to be able to respond quickly to emergencies on estates, therefore a full current UK driving licence is essential.

As a result you will be required to sign up to the authorised external DVLA driving licence validation organisation that we use to manage and monitor our employees driving licence data.

This post is permanent.

The hours of work for this position are 18.5 per week, working Wednesday afternoons (3.42 hours) and Thursdays & Fridays (7.4 hours each day).

This post is based at Lancaster Town Hall, with hybrid working arrangements available.

The Council currently operates an excellent Flexible Working Hours Scheme which applies to this post. Subject to the needs of this business, this may allow employees to work between the hours of 6:00am-10:30pm.
