Accounts Assistant - Head Office, Salford, Manchester
We are looking for an
Accounts Assistant to join our Finance Team at Thermatic. The Finance team's main aim is to manage and report on the Thermatic Group finances.

As an Accounts Assistant your role is to support the team across all key areas of the finance function including billing, purchase ledger, timesheet data processing, and other various duties.


To be successful in this role, you will have strong communication and interpersonal skills to deal with different customers and departments within the business.

You will have great time management and organisational skills and you'll also be confident with operating MS Office package and quick to learn new computer-based systems.


Essential attributes also include:


  • 2 years' experience in an accounts assistant, billing, or purchase ledger role
  • Experience with accounting software such as AccountsIQ, Sage, or equivalent


Experience within construction, FM, or the Engineering sector would be advantageous, as would having an accountancy qualification such as AAT.

Hours & Location of Work:


  • Main location
  • Thermatic Head Office based in Salford. Opportunities to work remotely will be available.
  • Regular hours of work
  • Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm 40 hour working week

Main responsibilities include:


  • Support finance functions to ensure accurate and timely processing of information and provide point of contact for queries both internally and externally
  • Accurate raising of sales invoices for multiple customers from across the Group reconciling data from multiple sources
  • Deal with invoice queries and handling them in a timely manner and with effective communication
  • Assist in customer account reconciliations and liaising with team members to ensure prompt billing
  • Support all operational aspects of the Sales Ledger and sales invoice consolidations
  • Support Purchase Ledger function and assist in accurate posting of purchase invoices
  • Use customer and supplier portals to fulfil duties
  • Process engineer timesheet data
