We're looking for a
Europe arts editor-at-large to commission and co-ordinate the Guardian's coverage of the arts across Europe, as well as reporting, writing and reviewing.

About The Role

Commissioning news, features, interviews and reviews, and editing copy where needed
Travelling extensively across Europe to cover the latest cultural trends
Working closely with the Arts Editor to ensure that we have the most vibrant, dynamic coverage of the European arts
Working closely with the digital editors and their team to make sure that our coverage of the arts across Europe is vibrantly presented and projected particularly via the front of the Europe edition
Liaising with the multimedia, visuals and social and community teams in the production of Guardian journalism
Liaising with the digital editors to ensure the best projection and presentation of European arts content
Likewise with print editors, in particular the editors of G1, G2 and Review
Liaising with the Arts Editor to ensure the Guardian's critics are extensively covering the arts across Europe

About You

Demonstrable experience on a national newspaper, website or magazine
Knowledge of arts and culture across Europe
Knowledge of and connections with arts organisations across Europe
Clear vision of the purpose and aims of Guardian arts coverage
Keen understanding of developments in journalism
Previous experience of editing and commissioning
Experience of managing a team
Experience of managing relationships with commercial departments and external partners
Ideally, you'll have a demonstrable ability to bring a diverse perspective to this role
