Description

We are looking for a
Specialist I Logistics. You will be responsible for initial technical checks of test samples (logging in). Work in conjunction with the Manager Facilities Operations to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the site's logistics.


What you will be doing:


  • Maintain stores software records to identify, label and store all test products as they are received on site
  • Ensure project management software is updated when shipments are received, to assist processing projects
  • Locate and issue test products when requested
  • Liaise with the Laboratory Managers, Program Office and Logistics department to ensure all test samples are logged in quickly and accurately
  • Validate the contents of all incoming test samples by carrying out detailed inspections against the relevant sample request
  • Troubleshoot, raise issues and perform resolutions for any inconsistencies
  • Complete test codes TCS and TCS for Regulations Testing samples when appropriate
  • Accurately update LIMS software to record inspections
  • Maintain competence to carry out forklift operations around site. Responsible for forklift cleanliness, basic maintenance and daily checks
  • Contact customers when required, and in conjunction with the Program Office for sample return
  • Ensuring safe working practices are always maintained in line with NSF Wales procedures, ensuring high standards of housekeeping are maintained
  • Assist and provide coverage for the Manager Facilities Operations when required
  • Assisting and cooperating with other team members to support other reasonable site requirements
Qualifications

  • Experience in a logistics and testing laboratory environment
  • Accurate record keeping, with good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confident and polite communication skills
  • Proficient and experienced forklift operator
  • Manage multiple tasks and close out actions
  • An ability to follow instructions (written & verbal)
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • The ability to work safely and responsibly, both independently and with others
  • The ability to manage a repetitive workload
  • Demonstrate a positive and committed attitude
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement
  • Some IT skills, to include familiarity with Microsoft office and other software packages
  • Show commitment to personal and team development
  • Demonstrate a flexible and reactive approach
  • Good standard of education, including GCSE's (or similar level qualifications) preferably in English, Math's and/or a Science
  • Good standard of numeracy and literacy
  • A forklift license (training will be provided)
