The Gynaecological Oncology Care Navigator will form an integral part of the multidisciplinary team in caring for the physical, social and psychological needs of patients and carers diagnosed with Gynaecological cancer from the point of referral and throughout their treatment pathway.


The post holder will have daily phone contact with patients and their families, providing support, advice, and sign-posting to relevant bodies.


The post holder must have excellent organisational and communication skills as liaising with patients, colleagues and other departments is an essential part of the role.


The post holder will be pivotal in signposting suspected cancer patients to the appropriate pathway and liaising with patients to organise their scans, outpatient appointments, and discuss with them their pathway of treatment in terms of expectations of transvaginal ultrasound scans and outpatient hysteroscopy.
