TEXO Recruitment are delighted to be sourcing a
Training & Competency Coordinator on behalf of Texo Group based in Westhill, Aberdeen.


Duties can include but are not limited to:

  • Training Program Development: Create and maintain training programs that align with the Texo's goals and objectives.
  • Needs Assessment: Identify training gaps, develop gap analysis plans, and perform regular audits and gap analysis on personnel training records.
  • Curriculum Design: Develop training materials, modules, and resources.
  • Training Delivery: Coordinating all training bookings, including associated travel and accommodation and the relevant joining instructions.
  • Competency Assessment: Establish methods for assessing employee competency and track progress.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately maintain personnel training and competency records to ensure full compliance with company procedures. Update incoming certification and competency within the Company training system.
  • Compliance: Ensure that training programs meet regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Evaluation: Gather feedback, assess the effectiveness of training, and make improvements.
  • Collaboration: Work with various departments to understand their training and competency needs and align programs accordingly.
  • Reporting: Provide reports and data on training activities and outcomes to management. Develop training and competence plans/reports for review with the client and operational teams. Training and Competency Matrix compliance management, monitoring, and reporting
  • Technology Utilisation: Utilise learning management systems and elearning platforms for efficient training delivery. Implementation and maintenance of training Software training records data entry with a focus on data accuracy.
  • Budget Management: Manage the budget for training programs and resources.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in training and competency development. Support the business and participate in the continuous review and development of training and competency related systems and processes to ensure they remain robust and fitforpurpose.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate training schedules, expectations, and opportunities to employees.
  • Employee Development: Support employee career development through training and competencybuilding initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience:


  • Previous experience in a T&C or L&D role.
  • Experience in a fastpaced work environment.
  • Understanding of various industry Awarding Bodies.
  • Knowledge of the oil & gas industry. (Desirable)
  • Familiarity with Competence Management Systems and processes. (Essential)
  • Able to work under own initiative & operate under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal & influencing skills.
  • Strong computer literacy.
  • Ability to plan project to delivery.
  • Understanding of the training and competency function.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Problem solver.
  • Demonstrate excellent Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint skills.
  • Experience in using reporting tools such as Power BI.
  • Understanding of the importance of quality assurance. (Desirable)
