Plant Manager

East Manchester

£60,000 - £65,000 + Benefits DOE

Role Profile
Our client is a well-established chemical manufacturer based in East Manchester. They are currently looking to appoint a Plant Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of a busy Manufacturing Plant


The key purpose of the role will be to all Production & Distribution aspects within the plant are completed within a safe, compliant manner.


Key responsibilities will include:


  • Full end to end responsibility of the Manufacturing plant
  • Lead by example and set the standards in terms of safety, improve the safety culture and delivery safety performance in line with the improvement plan.
  • Communicate the vision and strategy to all direct reports and the wider business
  • Make recommendations to the Group business on strategic or operational improvements of margin or growth, new markets and enabling technology
  • Maintain company quality standards using LEAN tools and continuous improvement

Skills and Experience

  • Desirable experience within chemical manufacturing/engineering
  • IOSH/NEBOSH qualification
  • Desire to engage with all staff members across the shop floor
  • Excellent communication and influencing ability
