Learning Support Assistant

Watford, North West
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as part of a supportive and positive team in an Secondary School.

The school are seeking to employ a learning support assistant who will support the learning needs of students who require assistance in understanding the curriculum.


It is important for the school that they meet an Assistant with a passion to support and will inspire, challenge and motivate students to achieve beyond their expected potential.


LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT, WATFORD
Location - Watford, Northwest London

Position

  • Teaching/learning support Assistant
  • No previous experience required
Start date - Januaray 2024

Duration / Likely Duration - Ongoing

Contract type - Temporary with the view to go permanent after

Full time/part time - FULL TIME ONLY

Minimum rate of pay £85 per day

Hours - 8am - 3:30 pm (full day)


TEACHING/LEARNING ASSISTANTS DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Work with
  • 6 students who require additional support
  • EAL and SEN
  • Supporting the class teacher in lessons
  • Run your intervention sessions and booster groups with pupils that need it the most.
  • Be involved in running extracurricular activities
  • Writing reports and feeding back to teachers, SENCO, external agencies and parents

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

NO previous education experience is required to apply

  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS TEACHING ASSISTANT ROLE, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
