Speech and Language Teaching Assistant - Leicestershire

Are you an experienced Speech and Language Specialist looking for your next Teaching Assistant role? Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for a passionate and empathetic TA to work 1:1 with a non-verbal child in KS1.

Tradewind are recruiting for an SEND Teaching Assistant to work in a mainstream Primary school central to Tameside. The position is full-time, starting ASAP and continuing until the Easter term.

You would be working on a 1:1 basis with a student in KS1,therefore knowledge of the curriculum and in particular phonics would be advantageous.

You will be working with the class teacher to develop their speech and language skills, using tools such as PECS and visual timetables.

Tradewind offer above-market ratesof pay, with the daily rate in the region of £70 - £80 per day.

Your duties might include:

Supporting and managing a pupil with autistic traits, mainly on a 1:1 basis
Taking responsibility for the safeguarding of the young people in your care
Supporting the school team to provide a stimulating, safe and nurturing environment for students to learn
