Role Purpose
Our BHU Line controllers are responsible for the management of baggage in the sortation area. This role provides leadership and safety oversight for our baggage handling services, including chute/line/baggage sortation area. They ensure the smooth operation of aircraft on time baggage delivery, Rush, and transfers.

What you will be doing

To assist the BHU Supervisor with the efficient operation of the chute/line/baggage sortation areas.
To ensure and oversee that the belt sortation lines are run efficiently and smoothly.
Ensure that all baggage is delivered to the correct location on time and all Rush and transfers are dealt with in a timely manner.
Ensure delivery/collection of the empty containers/trailers to/from the appropriate storage area.
Ensure delivery/collection of baggage for all flights.

What we are looking for

Full understanding of the baggage sortation systems and electronic reconciliation systems is desirable.
Good Computer and PC skills.
Ability to work within a pressured environment being flexible to adapt to changing demands/circumstances.
Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
Can recognise and deal with challenges promptly and efficiently.
