GCP Senior DevOps Engineer - Social Gaming -London - Cross Train from AWS or Azure


I'm working with a global leading social gaming and casinos company to recruit a Senior GCP DevOps Engineer to join their international software team.

Ideally you will have experience in Google Cloud Platforms (GCP) but they are happy to cross train DevOpsEngineers with AWS or Azure experience as long as you have the other required skills as a Senior Engineer.


You will look for opportunities to improve platform reliability and performance through observability, creating the next generation of CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure-as-code, a container based approach and DevOps practices.

You will design, build and managethe auto-scaling platform to manage millions of customers around the worldin a large-scale production environment, lead incident response, troubleshoot and debug production issues.

This will be a varied role that will cover both the build and support of theirplatform.


Responsibilities

  • Design, Build and support multiple environments on GCP using a DevOps Automation approach with infrastructure as a code, CI/CD Pipelines, Container services.

Key skills and experience

  • Senior Engineer in a
    Platform / DevOps / SRE / Cloud Infrastructure Engineer role
  • Scripting languages e.g.
    Python, Bash etc
  • CI/CD design and practice using
    Jenkins or other similar tools
  • Google Cloud Platforms (GCP) but AWS and Azure experience also considered and happy to cross train.

Cloud Architecture Design principles:


  • Infrastructureascode
    Terraform also considered
    Azure ARM templates, CloudFormation.
  • Proven skills in productiongrade
    Kubernetes Clusters with containerized environments and microservices
    (Docker, Kubernetes):
  • Configuration Management tools (
    Ansibleideally)
  • Solid understanding of Cloud networking technologies
  • Monitoring and log analysis tools such as
    ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic
They do not offer visa sponsorship.


Desirable:
Service Discovery or Service Mesh solutions such as Anthos, Istio, Consul


Salary:
£70,000 - £80,000 + bonus + benefits
