Main duties of the job:


An opportunity exists for a suitably experienced and innovative Clinical Assistant to join our renowned multi-professional team with a reputation of achieving clinical excellence.

This is a rewarding role and you will be fully encouraged and supported in your professional development. We have 1 post available 37.5 hours per week, 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday.


You will have the opportunity to develop your existing knowledge and skills and you will be encouraged to attend relevant courses.


If you have:

  • Experience and knowledge of working with patients.
  • Evidence of relevant personal development.
  • Knowledge of the NHS Breast Screening Programme
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • The ability to prioritise, work independently as well as within a team.
  • IT and data inputting skills.

Essential criteria:


  • Minimum of 5 GCSE's. Good all round education

  • Clinical experience with patients.
  • Administration & clerical experience

Desirable criteria:


  • Previous experience of working in NHS.
  • Data input
  • Counselling Skills

Skills and aptitudes:


Essential criteria:


  • Demonstrate awareness of issues around data protection and confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.

Desirable criteria:


  • Working knowledge of the NHSBSP or some experience of cancer services
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft systems including word, excel and outlook.
