Liverpool, City Centre

£26,000 - £30,000 (Depending on experience)

Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:30
I'm currently recruiting for a customs agent to join a multi award-winning, international freight forwarding company. They are seeking a customs agent to support the current operations and join their expanding team.

Experience of making customs declarations since Brexit (essential)
Customs qualifications are highly desirable
Previous experience of handling export entries (desirable)
Experience using Descartes or Ecustoms (desirable)
Previously worked for a freight forwarder
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage workloads
Genuinely passionate in finding solutions for clients
Experience of working within a fast paced shipping or logistics office

Duties and Responsibilities;

Ensuring that all clearance processes are completed in a complaint and timely manner.
Providing information to your team and customers directly relating to HMRC customs and excise for the export of shipments via road, air &/or sea
Advising on the documentation necessary for direct import/export, transit movements
To ensure the company is fully compliant with the requirements of HMRC and other relevant bodies. And ensure good query resolution
Monitoring customer volumes and highlighting unusual trends to management
Ensuring that all necessary custom clearance processes post Brexit are implemented in a timely and accurate fashion
Utilising your knowledge of customs tariffs, CPC codes and security declarations
