In 2023 we are launching two new state of the art ships on our Dover-Calais route as well as the continued support of our DP World family there has never been a better time to join our organisation.

We are looking for a Head of Procurement who possesses a combination of appropriate professional experience in procurement with highly developed stakeholder management skills.

As Head of Procurement, you will work with a collaborative leadership team and be responsible for leading and developing the procurement strategy for P&O Ferries.

In this role you will take full ownership of ensuring robust end to end procurement processes as well as contributing to strong governance of these processes.

Location:
Woking with some travel to Dover.

Key Responsibilities:

Effective leadership and management of the procurement team
Support the development of the overall procurement strategy with the operating board and lead on its implementation and delivery.
Develop the fuel procurement strategy and planning with colleagues in the Marine Service Vertical
Lead on transforming the current procurement activities as an integral support to P&O Ferries management so that an aligned strategy supports commercial objectives.
Maintain strong governance over all procurement activities.

Required skills:

Proven procurement leadership experience and demonstrable resilience operating in a large/complex/international organisation.
Experience of influencing at board level
Experienced in managing significant expenditures in excess of £100m across all indirect categories.
Previous experience of undertaking procurement structure strategic reviews and delivered appropriate restructure programmes, aligning resources to business objectives.
Hands on procurement and contract management expertise in a wide range of categories
Degree educated in a relevant qualification or qualified by experience
CIPS qualified or relevant equivalent qualification
