Description
As a Barclays Model Risk Manager you will be responsible for planning, overseeing delivery, and reporting of key outcomes of relevant processes, including Model Risk Uncertainty Risk Assessment.
The Model Risk Measurement and Quantification (MRMQ) is anindependent team responsible for the framework design and end to-end assessment of model uncertainty, as well as for the independent review and challenge of model validation activities to ensure the quality of validations is in line with expectations/standards.

What will you be doing?:
- You will be leading risk assessing Periodic model level uncertainty
- Project managing the risk assessment process, analyzing risk assessment results and compiling model risk reports and narrative to feed into requisite reporting channels
- Managing model validation quality assurance activities, planning of periodic reviews & scope selection and overseeing delivery of reviews
- Analyzing & reporting results of the review cycles, analyzing thematic issues and providing feedback to drive framework reengineering
- Engaging and working closely with MRM internal and external stakeholders to ensure transparency and clarity of MRMQ activities and priorities
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of the model uncertainty risk assessment and validation quality assurance processes
What we're looking for:
- Extensive experience within a quantitative function such as risk management, finance, or consulting, with good understanding of model risk management frameworks
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to analyze quantitative information, draw conclusions and provide concise commentary to senior management
- Proven track record of stakeholder management experience
- Ability to track projects and actions to completion, and report on progress to various levels of seniority, ability to prioritize work and to deliver on a timely manner
Skills that will help you in the role:
- A bachelor's degree or a master's degree in a financial or technical field
- Cross experience across different model types and model risk management frameworks and associated PRA/FRB regulatory expectations
