Description
Reed Education are currently recruiting for several Special Needs Home Tutors.

The role itself will be working with children who live in Caerphilly region, who access education outside of 'normal' schooling.

It could be children who are too anxious to attend mainstream school, or display challenging behaviour/or have been excluded, orhave medical difficulties, or are in between settings (so have been pulled from mainstream and are awaiting an SEN school placement), and many more.

The children are often Key Stage three or four, but we do get some primary children referrals too and eachcase is unique of which you will be given full background information on the child.

Each child will be taught at home for 2 hours per day - this is paid at £25 per hour.

For the majority of the time the work delivered is Maths and English, but creativity and innovativeness will be required when delivering these lessons due to the differenttypes of learners that these children are.

Its also super important to engage them with their interests, to get the most out of their attention.

You will need to be an excellent communicator, as you will be liaising with the child's provision and department directly, as well as with the child and parent.

You will also be trustworthy and empathetic - the child needs to know you will not give up on them, and you will be there for them to help and support them throughout their education.

We have lots of children requiring home tuition at the moment, and so you could do just one or two pupils if you are looking for part time work, or you could do three or four children if you are looking for full time work.

To be considered, you must have a QTS (FE is accepted also) and experience of working with children with special needs.

Please send me your most up to date CV if you are interested
