    Description

    Role: Children Solicitor

    Leading law firm seeking dedicated Solicitor for permanent position.

    Gemini Recruitment is partnering with a large and established law firm serving corporate entities and private individuals in over 25 practice areas from offices throughout London and across England and Wales.

    Family & Children Department Background:

    The Family & Children law department is ranked and recognised by The Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners for family and matrimonial work, providing confidential advice with effective representation.

    The team includes practitioners who have achieved the Law Society's Children Law and Family Law Advanced accreditations, providing advocacy in all court proceedings and ensuring clients receive a consistent and professional service.

    Main Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Report directly to Department Director
    • Manage all aspects of Children Law work, including technical expertise and guidance to other team members
    • Supervise Trainee Solicitors and Caseworkers to manage appropriate caseload types and complexities
    • Assist with delivery of training and development in the department
    • Variety of duties including divorce, financial disputes and remedies, international elements of child abduction/adoption, injunctions/non molestation orders
    • Have a proactive approach, strong client care skills, and be interested in Business Development and Marketing

    Key Skills Required:

    • NQ-3 years PQE as Solicitor
    • Extensive experience in dealing with all Family/Child Care related work
    • Valid Practising Certificate at the time of applying
    • Strong management skills
    • Committed team player with ability to approach team concerns fairly
    • Excellent client care skills and ability to deal with vulnerable clients
    • Excellent networking and communication skills
    • Working knowledge of publicly funded Family and Child Care work
    • Experience in own advocacy is an advantage
    • Excellent IT Skills
