An exiting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious cardiac physiologist at West Middlesex University Hospital. The non invasive cardiology team performs all non invasive tests such as holter analysis, 12 lead ECG, etc.

The team is very dynamic and prides itself of being innovative and encouraging all staff members to continuously develop professionally.

The post holder will have excellent training and mentorship opportunities, alongside the opportunity to work in a busy and ever evolving environment.


Under the guidance of the Senior Physiologist the post holder will be/become proficient and be able to work unsupervised, providing a quality service for patients requiring non-invasive cardiology investigative procedures.

The post holder will also be responsible for assessing patients' needs whilst undergoing investigative procedures and providing appropriate level of care required.

All aspects of non-invasive cardiology diagnostics including holter tape analysis, ETTs, treadmill stress echos, dobutamine stress and Tilt tests.

We also provide a cath lab and pacing service therefore once established into the role their will be opportunities to develops skills in cath lab/pacing.

Roles and responsibilities

  • To be responsible for establishing and maintaining good communications with all staff, patients and their carers.
  • To highlight areas of concern to the Senior Chief physiologist.
  • To be proactive and help the team and the service leads with possible workplace improvements.
  • To demonstrate problem solving skill, supporting patients with queries that may arise.
  • To deal politely, positively and in a professional manner, and according to directorate policy with queries by patients and hospital staff.
  • To perform Tilt Testing under supervision until competent, ensuring results formatted for cardiologist reporting.
