Description

As an associate Practitioner working in Point of Care Testing within LCL you will be required to work under the direction of HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist.

As part of this role you will be carrying out analytical procedure in clinical setting and maintaining POCT equipment.

You will also support HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist with training of staff ensuring that service user receive high level service and ensure that they are fully competent in the use of POCT devices.

Along with supporting training you will also be responsible for carrying out competency checks on staff, ensuring that they using POCT devices correctly and safely.

You will also be responsible for the following duties:

Completion of Quality Control, preventative maintenance, minor repair, undertake manual and semi-automated procedures. You will also be carrying out general duties both under the supervision from senior staff and without direct supervision.
