General Classroom Assistant (Year 5/6)

Burton Upon Trent

Easter - on-going (8:30-15:30 - full time)


About the role:


The role is to assist the Upper Key Stage 2 teachers on a full-time basis until the end of the academic year, potentially on-going.


This is a chance to become part of an exceptional team and support the teachers with the resourcing and care of all children in the classroom, as well as teaching and learning in preparation for SATs.


Applicants should have the ability to work effectively within a teaching team and contribute to high quality teaching and learning, as well as have a desire to have a significant impact upon pupil achievement and enjoyment.

Requirements:

To be considered for the role of Teaching Assistant you will:

  • You must have the ability to work well within your team and to use your own initiative
  • Hold a relevant qualification
  • Have a strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum (SATs)
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.

The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:


  • Level 2 or above Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Referenceable classroom experience
  • Hold a Child Workforce DBS registered to Update Service or be willing to purchase a new one
