My client is a leading international business operating within the logistics industry from their modern site in Coalville, Leicestershire close to Jct 22 of the M1 and therefore easily accessible from across the East Midlands and especially so give the companieshybrid working offering.
As part of the companies continued expansion, FRS have been engaged to assist with a technically competent Qualified Accountant to join the business to work closely with the Group Financial Controller.
This is a key role to the taking ownership of a mix of both BAU Financial Control for the Group but also leading In a number of improvement projects across process, controls and systems.
Purpose of the role:
- In this role you will need to communicate with key partners, driven to investigate issues and feedback actions.
- Accurate and Timely reporting. Meeting expectations and going the extra mile.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Large company accounting rules and regulations including FRS102 and IFRS
- Assisting the Group Financial Controller with the audit process ensuring all deliverables achieved by set deadlines.
- Consolidation of groups including acquisitions and disposals
- Strong analysis to aid decision making
- Responsible for all finance debt including bank loans, HP and member loans including reconciliations and ensuring interest is posted monthly
- Maintaining statutory registers, completing statutory forms and resolutions, responsible for share transfers and buybacks
- Ensuring corporation tax and deferred tax is ca
- Supporting the international team by ensuring billing and cash recovery from Franchisees is being adhered to.
- Assisting with monthly reporting including Board reports
- Ensuring compliance with HMRC requirements including VAT, Corporation tax, Payroll and P11ds.
- Working alongside the finance team and wider business ensuring compliance with cross border regulations.
- Assisting with the quarterly forecast and annual budget processes follows and achieves the desired timescales
- Working alongside the Financial Controller to ensure an appropriate internal control framework is in place to safeguard the business
- Creating, developing, and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Providing key business decision support on adhoc projects such as acquisitions, disposals, valuations and franchisees
- Assisting in the finance function to achieve its goals, ambitions and objectives and become best in class
In return a competitive basic salary of around £65,000 + Benefits, Bonus and Hybrid working will be offered.
