The Head of Gas will be responsible for the Bilfinger UK Gas Business, by providing project leadership and management ensuring a growing and profitable division.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the Gas business P&L ensuring it is a growing, profitable business
- Provide leadership in all gas projects by keeping abreast of latest regulations and good practice
- Develop relationships with key stakeholders company and client
- Represent the client in front of customers (including business development support, exploring client opportunities, prequalification meetings, bid clarification meetings)
- Ensure the necessary organisation structure is deployed and managed to support the Gas business and that the team is competent and capable to deliver the work on time and in full
- Contributes to business development and proposals and be responsible for the Gas Business Plan
- Ensure technical integrity of work being carried out by your team by the use of their Integrated Management System, processes, procedures, rules, and standards;
- Ensure that contract conditions are fully satisfied
- Implement improvements directed towards showing profitable operation, growth of business and the enhancement of the team's competence and performance
- The role will include office work and periods at specific project locations
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Degree in appropriate engineering discipline
- Legislative awareness of gas operations and maintenance
- Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (preferred)
- Proven leadership experience
- Excellent project management experience gained in an EPC/EPCM environment servicing the Gas industry
- A demonstrable track record of supporting or leading multi discipline engineering design and construction projects to successful delivery
- Minimum of ten years experience in the Oil, Gas and Process Industries
