A local Secondary School around Exeter has contacted Teaching Personnel in their search for an enthusiastic Teacher of English, to join their team in January 2023.

Expectations:

  • Plan and prepare wellstructured, clearly presented lessons appropriate to the abilities of all students.
  • Develop, maintain and stimulate students' curiosity, interest and enjoyment in English.
  • Set homework tasks that are efficient in enabling students to reflect on learning, whilst continually highlighting areas for improvement.
  • Share in departmental best practice, collaborating with staff to progress the students experience and delivery of the national curriculum.
Requirements and skills

  • Previous teaching experience, either through school contracts or PGCE placements.
  • Knowledge of various teaching methods.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the national curriculum and English requirements.
  • Possesses an appropriate degree, with UK PGCE, or other teaching qualification giving
    Qualified Teacher Status.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
