We have a great opportunity for you to join us as a Systems Operations Process Coach.


This new role offers a great opportunity to support the "back to basics" approach taken across the business, ensuring the teams that work in System Operations are trained and have the knowledge to carry out their roles consistency.

This includes Clean, Waste and Incident management teams.


In this role you will make a real difference and improve the way we onboard and induct new team members, as well as support the on-going training and maintenance of competency for the existing team members.


What you will be doing
-
Be involved in the onboarding and induction of new team members to the System Operations team.

  • Be the advocate and lead for Licence To Operate (LTO) within System Operations. Maintain and update the LTO material and competency assessments. Facilitate team members in attaining their LTO.
  • Build and update learning material based on Root Cause Analysis, incident washups and other incident learning streams
  • Work with other System Operations teams to ensure core process are defined and team clear on what to follow
  • Work with other System Operations teams to ensure any process changes are captured and team trained accordingly
  • Input to Key Performance Indicator's around process compliance
  • Working with the System Operations managers to maximise the capabilities within their teams.
  • Develop and maintain System Operations learning library and updating of training material when required to reflect the needs of the business.
  • Develop and maintain competency assessment framework and records
  • Complete handovers from improvements/projects and systems to train for business as usual.
  • Design appropriate training sessions using a range of delivery techniques e.g. classroom/teams/practical based

We are looking for you to

  • Have Either graduate, typically with several years relevant work experience, or ONC/HNC or equivalent in field related to technical specialty, typically with significant years relevant work experience.
  • Have ability to use your own initiative to organise and prioritise workload
  • Have experience working within an operational business environment (ideally water or utilities industry)
  • Be motivational with creativity and impart an energy to learn and help others develop
  • Have previous coaching/ training experience.
  • Have excellent communication skills you can communicate technical issues to a nontechnical audience and be able to break down complex issues to deliver training that works for all learning styles
  • Be fully competent at using the appropriate Company IT systems (preferably some GIS, SCADA knowledge) and Office software
  • Understanding of change management methodology
  • Have experience and aptitude to engage with key stakeholders
