Our client is looking for a Technical Assistant for a contract position, located in Westhill, Aberdeenshire (Hybrid Working)


RESPONSIBILITIES
Administration

  • Provide general administrative support for the SMART Room & Production Performance Teams including raising of SAP requisitions.
  • Take responsibility for accurate archiving of all production reports and signed off procedures.
  • Support the SMART Room and Production Performance Team in the control of all controlled documents / procedures including scribing at key review meetings.
  • Update of PI graphics / Power BI / Opralog / monitoring tools.
  • Ensure all team procedures are updated and accurately recorded within the Company Management System.
Planning & Coordination

  • Responsible for the preparation and delivery of production dashboards and KPI's.
  • Tracking of temporary equipment.
  • Tracking of Tote tank rental.
  • Action monitoring / follow up for Modifications (tool: Sciforma/RFM).
  • Action Monitoring / follow up for critical / safety tasks (tool: Synergi).
  • Maintain and update the PI historian graphics.
  • Support Carbon Footprint Reduction initiatives: tracking actions; reviewing and updating project timelines; assisting with department communication. Depending on applicant background / interests, this could be expanded further.
  • Tracking and progressing technical drawing updates (Red Line Mark-Up process). Depending on applicant background / interests, this could be expanded further.
Reporting & Investigation

  • Interpretation and analysis of production data to identify and report areas for improvement.
  • Support the required production teams cost initiatives.
  • Support data retrieval from SAP to support SECE lead engineer performance standard reviews.
  • Support the development of KPI tools.
  • Collation of production data for presentations, surveys etc. as required.
  • Act as focal point for SAP & Prodom.
Budget and Cost Control

  • Complete Lean Projects driving through site based initiatives to successful completion.
  • Analyse cost data to identify areas for improvement.

REQUIREMENTS

  • This position requires a formal engineering, scientific or technical qualification, typically to OND/HNC or equivalent
  • Strong administrative and organisational ability so as to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of key reports and outputs at the required frequency (daily, weekly, monthly, annually).
  • Proven competency in use of microsoft standard packages (Word, Excel and Powerpoint). Other specialist software (Power BI, PI, Bluebeam, Visio) would be beneficial.
  • The incumbent should be numerate, have an understanding of the basic principles of oil and gas production and ability to carry out conversions of engineering units (barrels to cubic metres etc.) as well as a skill in the manipulation and production of graphs, charts and reports containing a variety of statistical data.
  • Strong team working skills as well as the ability to communicate at all levels both internally and externally.
  • Good knowledge of Company procedures and processes.
