Main accountabilities include:

  • Oversee a satisfactory tailored referencing and security vetting service to all clients and applicants ensuring all correct Department for Transport, CAA, and Airport Authority procedures are followed.
  • Register and log referencing requests as received
  • Deal with any client or applicant inquiries in a satisfactory and professional manner.
  • To be flexible and able to respond and adapt to the requirements of working in a highpressure environment.
  • Inform client of completed or abandoned packs
  • Build rapport with referees to ensure prompt return of requested reference
  • Manage GSAT courses where applicable
  • Provide Tracking Sheets with completed packs explaining how each reference was obtained
  • Quality check is completed on reference packs

Qualifications and Experience

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Current knowledge, and ability to interpret aviation vetting and referencing standards
  • Good analytical and IT skills
  • Ability to negotiate and influence business users at all levels
  • Experience of referencing within the aviation sector.
  • Knowledge of vetting and HR systems, preferably IDgateway
  • The ability to remain calm, organised and professional under pressure in a dynamic workplace
