Lowry Ward is an acute admission ward providing inpatient services for women over the age of 18 experiencing a relapse or crisis in their mental health wellbeing and require a safe place to receive support, care and treatment, allowing their wellbeing to improve so they can return to their usual environment.


This is a very busy service and the role is to support the multi-disciplinary clinical team to ensure that our service users receive high quality care.

  • Have experience of working with Microsoft Outlook and electronic record systems
  • Have good organisational and planning skills, i.e, diary management
  • Have advanced typing skills typing live during discussions to capture information and process documents with a high level of accuracy
  • Minute taking experience
  • Have customer care skills
  • A good working knowledge of office procedures
  • Cashiering / petty cash experience (training will be provided)

Based on the ward, the main duties in this role will be:

  • To support the daily team meeting. This requires the postholder to type live at the meeting, recording the discussion and updating our patient information system
  • To organise meetings, often in tight timescales, following the daily meeting
  • To liaise with service users, families and carers in an administrative remit
  • There will be additional tasks such as filing, scanning, covering reception and the service user bank. This list is not exhaustive.


You should currently hold the required level of qualifications, as outlined in the essential criteria of the personal specification within the job description.
