Job Summary
To be responsible for managing, overseeing and auditing of all data within the clinical system.

To coordinate and oversee all aspects of the claims processes relating to work undertaken as a part of local and national enhanced services.

To provide a professional administrative service to patients, doctors, staff and health service professionals.


Primary Responsibilities
The following are the core responsibilities of the role.

There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels.


_Main Duties/Key Tasks:

To monitor and coordinate the practices performance against QOF compliance on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.

  • To monitor compliance with local and national enhanced Services, Vaccination & recall programs
  • Be responsible for compiling and submitting monthly, quarterly and annual claims
  • To design, run searches and prepare clinical information ready for audit and review by the clinical team, Management, and wider practice team, on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
  • Support and work with the data entry, clinical and management team to identify areas for improvement in data quality
  • Assist all the clinical team with the capturing of patient related data through the creation of templates, forms, and the use of 3rd party software
  • Develop, coordinate, implement and manage patient recall systems for all clinical disease areas
  • To support the clinical team in identifying and targeting patients for assessment and treatment
  • To support and work with the Data Entry team overseeing the read coding of all patients clinical documentation and information

_Organisational and Administration

  • To monitor usage of the clinical system, identifying areas for development to ensure ease of use and optimum data quality.
  • To oversee the security, and validation processes of the Clinical System, 3rd party software and GDPR
  • Proactively manage and monitor the clinical system and any 3rd party software updates, disseminating information regarding these to all team members in a timely manner
  • To lead, design and implement a training programme for all team members to maximise their use of the clinical system and associated 3rd party software
  • To work with the Practice Manager on inputting of information into the Clinical
Governance Toolkits, and development of the Practice Portfolio and information for re validation

  • To oversee the security and validation processes for the clinical system
  • To ensure all users of the Clinical System and associated 3rd party software comply with the Data Protection Act and GDPR regulations
  • To be responsible for liaising with, and maintaining records of the clinical and
3rd party software providers

  • To coordinate, organize, chair practice meetings including as a minimum
Significant Event Reviews, Palliative Care meetings

  • To work as an integral part of the management team, supporting all team members


To be responsible, carry out, complete any other duties as deemed appropriate from time to time by the practice management team.


Secondary Responsibilities
In addition to the primary responsibilities, the QOF Coordinator/Clinical Auditor may be requested to: a. Deputise and assist the Data Entry team b. From time to time act as a primary point of contact for NHS(E&I), ICB, community services, suppliers and other external stakeholders as defined by the Practice
Manager
