The Enterprise Lab is Imperial College London's dedicated centre for student Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

Each year we support over 2,500 students and recent alumni to learn new skills, meet new people and launch new ventures.

As Innovation & Entrepreneurship Coordinator you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the Imperial Enterprise Lab's exciting activities including one-off events, workshops and programmes for our community of enterprising students.


While the post will be supporting multiple activities, the primary focus will be
WE Innovate and WE Accelerate, our successful and inspiring entrepreneurship flagship programmes for women.

Other ad hoc programme support might be required on other programmes such as the Summer Accelerator and the Venture Catalyst Challenge (VCC).


You will be part of an energetic and passionate team who support the growth of new entrepreneurial ideas from our talented science, engineering, medicine and business students.

This role will allow you to coordinate and support the team on a range of activities to support their implementation and impact.


Duties and responsibilities:


You will be supporting the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Managers and the Head of Enterprise Lab to deliver a series of exceptional programmes and events.

Your role will include cross programme process refinement and execution, including all programme evaluation.

This is a varied role that will support and play a pivotal role in the planning and execution of 4+ entrepreneurial programmes.


Essential requirements:


  • Experience of working in innovation and entrepreneurship support to facilitate credibility and positive relations with staff, students, alumni, and external partners
  • Project coordination experience to deliver a highquality education and professional development programme in a worldclass institutional setting
  • Experience in supporting the successful delivery of outputs engaging and directing complex groups of suppliers, colleagues, and collaborators
  • Organising and planning and delivering both student orientated and partner engagement activities successfully, e.g., small (10 person) and large (100 person) events
  • Welldeveloped organisation, coordination skills with a strong, independently driven delivery focus
  • Successful at working both in an informal team environment, as well as within a formal structure
  • Effective communication skills, written and verbal, to ensure clear and effective contact for a contemporary student and alumni audience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills capable of quickly building rapport with staff, students, alumni, and corporate stakeholders
  • Effective listening skills

This is a full time and open ended role, and you will be based in the South Kensington Campus.

  • The College is currently trialling a _Work Location Framework_ until early 2023. Hybrid working may be considered for this role and the role holder may be expected to work 60% or more of their time onsite, with 40% the minimum time spent onsite. The opportunity for hybrid working will be discussed at interview._
