This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of the bottom up build and management of an exciting Credit Risk portfolio.

It's all about developing automated decision strategies including credit policies, affordability assessments and scorecards. You'llwork hands on with the data, whilst also owning the strategy and and portfolio performance for a growing business.

THE ROLE

As Credit Risk Manager you will report to the Head of Risk and will be given a key responsibility to ensure all elements of Credit Risk strategy of a growing lending portfolio are covered.

On top of this you will be lead a growing team of analysts, as wellas leading the conversations with the stakeholders so this is a real chance to create a commercially relevant difference.

You're remit will include:

Establishing an automated Credit risk function for credit decisions, policy rules, affordability assessments and scorecard development
Credit Risk strategy across the lifecycle including acquisitions and collections
Optimising portfolio performance through analytical deep dives into performance, identifying risks and opportunities etc

- maning credit losses through moniotring and analysis of impairment

Designing and maintaining the MI for valueadd analytics and insightful recommendations
Communicating with top level management

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The successful Credit Risk Manager will likely have the following skills and experience:

Educated to a degree level in a numerate discipline
Proven leadership skills in a Senior Credit Risk role
Skilled communicator, comfortable working with stakeholders up to Board level
Proven experience with SAS, SQL, R or Python and an ability to remain hands on while the team is small
Commercial mindset, understanding of issues involved in running a business, and the key financial drivers
Passionate about challenging the norm and challenging thinking
