Your New Role
Are you an excellent communicator, passionate and committed to planning, directing and coordinating products? Survitec now has an exciting opportunity for you to come on board as our Delivery Coordinator at our Grimsby site

Our supply chain team distribute and deliver operations to meet customers need and drive business value.

This role coordinates the distribution of Survitec goods to end customers. It is focused on reviewing and organising delivery schedules, seeking opportunities to reduce cost whilst meeting delivery requirements, standards and safe working practices


What You Can Expect from the Role

Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:


  • You will work with demand and supply planners to develop a sound understanding of customer delivery patterns and expectations
  • Liaise with external suppliers to coordinate the import of goods
  • Plan delivery schedules to transfer goods to end customer or subcontractors
  • Prepare delivery information for internal and external thirdparty delivery resources, using a range of software packages and systems
  • Adjust delivery schedules to meet internal and external customer need, whilst actively managing and reducing cost to serve
  • Maintain effective relationships with key carriers, to drive an efficient process and ensure a good feedback process is in place to inform and drive continuous improvement
  • Follow standard procedure to ensure that work is carried out to the required quality standards and meet all external regulatory requirements for the transit of goods
  • Compare shipping routes or methods to determine which provide the best customer outcome, optimise cost to serve and have the least environmental impact
  • Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of landing or shipping orders, ensuring all paperwork is accurate and meets required regulatory standards
  • Record shipment data accurately, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages or discrepancies
  • Provide effective coaching and mentoring of supply chain colleagues to raise awareness and importance of delivery standards and measures
  • Deal with internal and external questions, concerns and issues, seeking to answer those questions effectively and rectify any problems, damages, shortages or nonconformance to specifications
