Position:
Disability Support Worker
Lifelong Ability North East (LANE) is seeking an energetic and highly motivated individual to serve in part of out team as a Support Worker


Core Duties & Responsibilities:


  • To provide support andpersonal care to clients in accordance with their Care Plan
  • To ensure a safe, caring, positive and stimulating environment for clients using
  • Intensive Interaction and Positive Behaviour Support strategies
  • To ensure a high standard of care is provided in line with current regulations and Care Quality Commission standards
  • To enable clients to develop and maintain their lifelong learning skills to live independently including cooking, cleaning, shopping, accessing community facilities
  • To promote dignity and respect ensuring clients have choice and control

Requirements:


  • Willingness to undertake any inservice training as appropriate
  • Level 5/C at GCSE or equivalent qualification in Literacy and Numeracy


  • Safeguarding level

  • Health and Safety training

Salary:
£21,900.00-£23,200.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

Experience:

- social work: 1 year (preferred)
