Do you have experience in inorganic analysis using modern analytical instrumentation such as ICP-MS or ICP-OES?

Are you looking to take the next step in a career within a growing and successful analytical laboratory?

Due to significant company growth, my client, a large analytical and scientific consultancy specialising in environmental analysis, is looking to hire a Senior Analytical Chemist.

You will undertake and laboratory based chemical analysis of a variety ofenvironmental samples using modern, analytical instrumentation, coaching, training and mentoring less experienced staff in the laboratory.

This laboratory specialises in Inorganic analysis so you'll work with techniques such as ICP-MS, ICP-OES as well as colorimetry, spectroscopy and physical parameters.

As well as sample analysis, you will undertake routine calibration and troubleshooting, solving problems and addressing complex analytical issues as they arise.

The role also involves method development and method validation, when new tests or products aretaken through the lab.

The laboratory works to strict quality systems and processes, including ISO14001, ISO17025 and UKAS.

To be considered for the Chemical Analyst / Laboratory Analyst position, you will need the following skills and experience;

Working experience in a chemistry laboratory, working within a quality system such as ISO, UKAS or similar.
Good working knowledge of analytical instruments such as ICP-MS or ICP-OES.
Experience of training or mentoring lab analysts would be an advantage.
Good communication, collaberation and organisation skills are required.
