The Team
The Exam Operations and Mitigating Circumstances team sit within Student Administration in Education Services and provides expert administrative support and advice to the University and Colleges relating to delivery of exams and reasonable adjustments for undergraduate and taught postgraduate courses.
About the Role
This new role supports delivery of assessment to faculties, departments and students.
Due to the significant changes in modes of assessment over the past five years, and the ongoing commitment to diversification of assessment and digital assessment, stakeholders are receiving multiple messages through different mediums.
It's important that the exams training and communications are clear, consistent, timely and are recognised as a trusted source of information.
This role will be building on existing communications that will require review and creation of a new service.The role holder will:
- develop a multi-channel communications strategy
- develop the exams service as the definitive source of information on exams
- work with colleagues in other departments, develop and deliver all training and communications to users of the digital assessment platforms
The role holder will participate in project development, liaising with colleagues across the exams team and beyond, including students, Examiners, professional services staff, and the central communications team.

The Exams team is part of the Student Administration Service within Education Services and exceptionally, you may be required to work on other tasks within Education Services if there is a change in priorities.
During peak examination times, the role holder will need to be in the office full-time which also includes some Saturday and Bank Holiday working.
